Big $$ for Cow Patch!

The final highlight of the 2010 Margaret River Cow Parade event - the Charity Auction took place on July 10, 2010 at Signal Park, Busselton.

Cow Patch (the cow we hosted at Tassell Park) was sold for a staggering $14,000.  Holy cow!  We don't yet know who the buyer was but she is obviously going to be well loved and cared for.

52 cows were auctioned off for local charity and regional projects and the total raised was close to a very impressive $365,000.  That's an average of $7,000 per cow, so Cow Patch did particularly well!  We are so proud of her.

CowParade, the world's most famous public art event, was on display throughout the Margaret River wine region from March to June 2010.

Here at Tassell Park Wines we were proud to be hosting "Cow Patch" one of the event's most vibrant and colourful bovines!

Completely at home grazing on the lawn at our cellar door she turned into quite a celebrity attracting numerous visitors armed with cameras every day!  We'd like to thank everyone who visited Tassell Park during Cow Patch's time with us.
