| What began as a “retirement” hobby has blossomed into an award-winning enterprise for Tassell Park Wines.
In only nine vintages we have been awarded no less than seven trophies, 18 gold, 47 silver and 140 bronze medals at wine shows throughout Australia. Our Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc Semillon have been recognised as two of the best in the Margaret River region and across Australia. The accolades also continue with top reviews and high praise from respected wine journalists, publications and fellow winemakers. “...This small producer has really come of age during the past few years; winning trophies and medals at national and regional wine shows...Tassell Park is clearly one of the outstanding new producers in Margaret River. Its Sauvignon Blanc has been recognised as one of Australia’s best. The Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc Semillon have been consistent recent trophy winners...” Ray Jordan's Guide to WA Wine 2009 Though our premium reputation may have been built on our white wines, our red wines no longer live in their shadow with the growing maturity and depth of quality of our Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon now rewarded with trophy and gold medal winning status. “...The overall highlight of the tasting was the Tassell Park 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon, which was unanimously given top gold by all judges for its rich colour and flavour ... this beauty is from a winery regarded as a specialist white producer. Perhaps a pointer to the future?” Scoop Magazine "Winter Warmers" Red Wine feature, Winter 2009 These prestigious trophies from our young grape growing and wine producing life speak for themselves:
Winning the two trophies at the 2009 WA Wine Industry Awards for the Best Estate Grown White (2008 Chardonnay) and Red (2007 'Private Bin' Shiraz) wines is our most outstanding achievement to date as we are the first winery to to be awarded both trophies in the same year at this prestigious event. With a growing reputation for the finest quality premium wines, Tassell Park is now well and truly established as one of Margaret River’s most outstanding and awarded 100% estate grown, boutique wine producers. |
